Murr Tower

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Murr Tower is a 35-story unfinished building built in 1974 in Beirut, Lebanon. Its construction stopped because of the Lebanese civil war that took place in the capital between 1975 and 1990.

It was part of “The Battle Of The Hotels” between October 1975 and march 1976 which opposed “Al Mourabitoun” militiamen to Phalangists armed men.

It became after a sniper spot during the rest of the war and terrorized Achrafieh and West Beirut neighborhoods.

Nowadays, it’s an abandoned concrete box attacked by the humidity, the wind, and the age.
