Musasizi Timothy Karubanga commonly known as MK Timothy (born October 30, 1990) is a Ugandan Angel investor and Serial entrepreneur . [2] [3]Timothy is the CEO and founder of Tim Tech Consults, an Information technology company in Uganda.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

Timothy was born in the eastern town of Mbale to Caleb and Jolly Karubanga, popular coffee farmers in the region. He is the second of seven siblings with three sisters, Moureen, Mercy, and Rachael, and four brothers, Moses, Hillary, Muhwezi and Tony. He attended Fairway Primary School for primary education before joining Our Lady of Africa Schools for his secondary school education. He later travelled to Japan with the help of Kenji Ekuan, a Japanese industrial designer with whom he had been working in Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. Kenji Ekuan is best known for creating the design of the Kikkoman soy sauce bottle.[5] In Japan, Timothy went to Tokyo Institute of Technology and attended a course in Communications Engineering.[6]

Career[edit]

Having started in Japan, Timothy made up his mind to relocate the headquarters of Tim Tech Consults from Tokyo, Japan to IT Virgin Africa in his home country Uganda. He later co-founded Stawi foods and fruit, an East African company that processes flour from bananas.[7] He also ventured in real estate management and other small scale industries.[8]
