Music for HOPE, Inc is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charity incorporated in the State of Nevada in February of 1994. Music for HOPE is most noted for providing musical instruments to disadvantaged youth and struggling school music programs and has impacted the lives of thousands of youth. Music for HOPE, Inc. received designation as a 501(c)(3) charity from the Internal Revenue Service in March 1997. Oversight and direction is provided by a 5 member Board of Directors and Music for HOPE, Inc is listed by GuideStar [1] and Charity Navigator [2]Music for HOPE, Inc was founded by Michael Jones in 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently serves as the CEO and executive director overseeing the day to day operations of the organization. Music for HOPE was created as a way to give back to the community and to help underserved populations such as youth and seniors with access to music programs as well as to assist other nonprofit organizations. in 2010 Music for HOPE established a local chapter in Charlottesville, VA.[3]
