Nargis is a Hindi drama series that aired on DD National in 2000s produced by Kesar Singh and directed by Rajesh Kumar S. Sah. The series casted Jayshri Rao as the lead role of Nargis along with other actors including Adarsh Gautam, Nina Chima, Shripada, Sahiba, Bharti Sharma, Preeta Jain, etc. The serial was based on a young girl named Nargis. She fell in love with a young man. The show has portrayed a beautiful love story of the two young people. They eventually got married. But society as always was not happy with their action. The lead role, Nargis was played by Jayshri Rao and was highly famous. She gained a huge fan following after the show. It was 33 episode series, which was afterward aired on Star Plus also after completing its season on Doordarshan.
