NewsBytesApp is an Internet media and news startup which was started in 2015 with a clear goal to reduce information overload. The app sorts out relevant content and presents news articles with a proper context in such a way that a user can update himself with the latest news in less than 7 minutes. The thing which is unique about Newsbytes is that it focuses on Artificial Intelligence and It has an in-house AI robot Yantra which is utilized by the company to write News Articles.
BACKGROUND
NewsBytes is a Gurgaon Based startup which was founded in August 2015 by Sumedh Chaudhry, Shikha Chaudhry, and Romesh Khaddar. Initially, it was launched as a mobile app but now the company has a proper News Website and Newsbot which is currently available on messaging platforms such as Facebook, Slack, and Telegram.[1][2]. The Startup launched India’s First Newsbot on Facebook in the year 2016[3][4]
FUNDING
Till Now, The Company has raised a total funding of $1.1M in 3 rounds.[5] The latest funding came from Müller Medien GmbH und Co. KG(A German Publishing firm) in Pre series A round on Sep 19, 2018. Apart from this, The Startup received a funding of $50000 in GSF Accelerator Program.
