He was previously, in 2016, the SEP's candidate for US Vice President. The web site of his campaign notes, "Niles, 30, was raised in a working-class family in Wisconsin and became a member of the SEP during the 2011 mass protests against budget cuts imposed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker." On Friday, 4 October 2018, Niemuth participated in a debate with incumbent Democrat Debbie Dingell and challengers xGary Walkowicz (Working Class Party) and Jeff Jones (Republican).[1]
