Two years later he attended a tryout in Fort Lauderdale where a scout decided to give him a shot a professional football over seas. He initially began his career as a pivot (also known as center defensive midfielder), but was converted to a CAM (center attacking mid) while in Europe and in during his year in California. While in Europe, he featured in every game, including games against two champions league sides.
