Not by the Bread Alone ensemble

Not by Bread Alone is a Nala'ga'at production, written and directed by Adina Tal. The ensemble of the play is composed of eleven deaf-blind Israeli actors

The show takes the audience on a fascinating journey into the personal experiences of deaf-blind individuals, revealing vivid and distant memories, dreams and joyful moments.

During the show and while on stage, the actors knead dough and bake bread, offering a unique encounter between actors and audience's as the latter's are invited by the end of the show to come on stage communicate with the actors and eat the bread, symbolizing the longing for a home.

Not by the Bread Alone has being showcasing since 2007, and it's actors have toured the world, preforming the play on major stages in New York, Canada, Seoul, Perth, Poland, England and more.
