NutritionalDiversity
Nutritional Diversity, or Nutritional Diversity diet refer to a diet doctrine developed by
Brandon Eisler, in the Republic of Panama in 2012. The diet essentially calls for consuming a minimum starting amount of 30 to 60 different plant species, mostly wild or from the model of agriculture known as permaculture.
Eisler looks at diet and fitness in much the same way that Rudolph Steiner looked at the permaculture farm, in that there are many physical and metaphysical nutritional elements, to a complete and optimal self state.
A dynamic study of nutrition in his eyes, involves the study of plants consumed together, plants consumed by animals, and the consumption of the animal, who eats a vastly more diverse spectrum of foods than traditional livestock. Eisler is convinced that a study of different plants together rather than a study of each plant's break down is the path more scientifically pointing to good health. He speaks against food vilification, processing and individual specie dissecting and says all plants are both medicinal and toxic depending on their dose and what other plants they are combined with. He says certain plants together in the stomach can produce both disastrous and miraculous results.
Nutritional Diversity diet followers are less likely to shop in super markets, and are immersed in learning local plants that grow wild around them. The diet mirrors a permaculture farm in the way the focus is to have many different things together, and engage with the living properties of those things.
Eisler served as Dc2 (SW) in the United States Navy as lead Chemical Biological and Radiological Warfare Defense, Basic & Advanced Damage Control Instructor to the USS Carl Vinson and USS George Bush at Newport News Training Facility 2007, also heading up a divisional fitness regimen. Eisler has amateur boxing & MMA records, and was a famous member of an Albuquerque athletic street team in the late 90's. He is the developer of Hailey's Tropical Farm, a farm intended for his daughter to inherit, on the Caribbean Island Archipilago of Bocas del Toro, Panama where the food diversity study continues on.
