ODEM

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

ODEM is a Switzerland-headquartered company that organizes short-term blended learning programs without intermediaries. ODEM uses smart contracts to manage transactions between students, educators, and service providers including payments and disbursements of curriculum royalties.[1]

ODEM helps educational institutions and companies issue Ethereum blockchain based academic certificates to students and employees.[2] The certificates include the student, educator, program, institution, date, and IPFS hash where the physical certificate can be accessed with a passphrase.

History[edit]

ODEM was founded in December 2017. It had its token sale between February - March 2018. In September 2018, the ODEM DApp was activated on the mainnet.[3] In December 2018, ODEM issued and stored blockchain certificates for Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's students.[4] The ODEM Platform goes live in February 2019.

ODEM Token (ODE)[edit]

The ERC-20 ODE sold in the token sale will provide access to the Platform through the staking process. The ODE economic model is based on the Sweetbridge Foundation's discount-token research. The design isolates the utility of ODE on the Platform from external market forces.[5] The ODEM staking architecture is based on the adoption of the Ethereum ERC-900 interface.[6]
