ONE Esports, part of ONE Championship, is a Singapore-based company that helps brands connect and engage with the esports community.[1][2][3][4] ONE Esports owns oneesports.gg, a website that publishes esports news, reviews, how-to-guides, interviews and stories on esports athletes, teams and fans. ONE Esports also has its own studio that puts out streaming content and data &analytics team that does research on what type of content fans in the community want to consume.[5]

ONE Esports is also an esports tournament organizer.[6] So far, the company has run tournaments in Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Street Fighter V, and Tekken 7. ONE Esports organized the first Major of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit in March 2021[7][8][9]. The ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major generated 274m total views and 1.1m peak concurrent views, making it the second most watched Dota 2 Major in history.[10][11]

On November 7, 2018, ONE Championship and Dentsu Inc. agreed to launch ONE Esports as a joint venture together in 2019.[12][13] This is done alongside other industry partners including Razer and Singtel Group[14]. ONE Championship announced that it intends to lead a plan to invest up to US$50 million into ONE Esports, alongside other key partners.[15][16]

Carlos Alimurung was hired as CEO of ONE Esports in July 2019.[17][5][18] Before joining ONE Esports as CEO, Carlos served as the Chief Business Officer for Battlefy. Prior to Battlefy, Carlos worked at Univision, and LG Electronic’s NA Home Entertainment business.[13]

Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V[19]
ONE Martial Arts Fan Fest was held on October 5-6, 2019 at Bellesalle Shibuya Garden, Tokyo.[20] ONE Esports partnered with Bandai Namco and Capcom to hold the ONE TEKKEN Tokyo Invitational and the ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge respectively.[6]


ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational[21]
December 17 – 22, 2019 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. ONE Esports partnered with PGL to host a Dota 2 tournament with a prize pool of US$500,000. The 12 teams that were invited were Team Secret, PSG.LGD, Virtus.Pro, Evil Geniuses, Natus Vincere, Vici Gaming, TNC Predator, Alliance, Gambit Esports, Team Aster, Team Liquid and J.Storm. The tournament was won by Chinese team, Vici Gaming.


ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League Powered by IO Esports[22]
Streamed online from June 18 to July 19. Seven teams from Southeast Asia and three qualified teams competed in a round-robin league for a US$100,000 prize pool. The seven invited teams were Team Adroit, Boom Esports, Fnatic, Geek Fam, Reality Rift, T1 and TNC Predator. The three qualified teams were NEW Esports, Execration and Neon Esports. The tournament was won by Malaysian team, Geek Fam.

ONE Esports Dota 2 Singapore Major Presented by PGL[23]

ONE Esports hosted the first Major of the DPC Season 2021 from March 27 to April 4. The LAN event is held at the Fairmont Singapore and attended by Team Secret, Invictus Gaming, Fnatic, Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses, Alliance, Team Aster, OB.Neon, Quincy Crew, Thunder Predator, Team Nigma, Team Liquid, Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD, T1 and AS Monaco Gambit.[24][25]

MPL Invitational[26]
Together with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) developer Moonton and the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, ONE Esports organized the 2020 Mobile Legends Professional League Invitational, that took place online across five countries in Southeast Asia.[27] The event began on November 27, 2020. 20 invited teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore competed for the US$100,000 prize pool.[28] The tournament was won by Indonesian team, Alter Ego.[29][citation needed]

Moonton will once again be partnering with ONE Esports to host the 2021 MLBB Professional League Invitational (MPLI) in the final quarter of 2021.[30][31]


MLBB Community Tournaments[32]
ONE Esports hosts a series of weekly Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Community Tournaments in Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. These tournaments ran in March, June, and August 2020 and awarded US$150 for the first-place team and US$75 for the runners-up.[33][34]


GR Supra GT Cup ASIA Regional Round 2020[35]
Supported by Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR), Toyota and ONE Esports organized the GR Supra GT Cup ASIA Regional Round.[36] The GR Supra GT Cup ASIA 2020 began with the ASIA Nations Cup held from June to September in five participating countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and the Philippines).[37] Singapore’s Ar Muhammad Aleef Mohamed Rafik won the tournament, automatically qualifying for the GR Supra GT Cup Global Final.[38][39]

Toyota has renewed its partnership with One Esports to organize the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) GT Cup Asia 2021.[40][41]
