History[edit]

The company was founded by Rytis Lauris and Justas Kriukas in 2014. After running a digital marketing agency and looking for the best marketing solutions for its clients, co-founders came up with the idea of developing a product that would be tailored for ecommerce businesses and could ideally cover their needs[12][13].

The journey to what Omnisend is now started in November of 2017, when the company rebranded from Soundest to better represent its vision and new capabilities. From an easy-to-use email marketing tool for ecommerce merchants, the company evolved into a sophisticated all-in-one omnichannel marketing automation platform.[14]

No external funds have been used for growth, the company bootstrapped.[15]

G2 included Omnisend in its Best Products for Marketers 2019 list[16] and rated Omnisend #1 in the Top 20 Easiest to Use Tools in Marketing Automation Software[17]. Also, G2 has named Omnisend #1 in Top Email Template Builder Software.[18]

The company was shortlisted in the ClickZ “Celebrate Marketing Technology” Awards in 2019 [19] as well as B2B Marketing Awards 2019.
