On the Inside of a Military Dictatorship is a documentary from 2019 directed by Danish Karen Stokkendal Poulsen. The documentary tells the story of how Aung San Suu Kyi came to power in Myanmar. How the hope for democracy was let down, and how the international society condemned the conflict with the Rohingya people which has been categorised as ethnic cleansing.
