OpenObject Framework

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The OpenObject framework is the foundation for OpenEPR/Odoo. OpenObject uses a model/view/controller structure with either a rich client (gtk or kde) and/or a web client. OpenObject features a complete and modular toolbox for quickly building applications: integrated Object-Relationship Mapping (ORM) support, template-based Model-View-Controller (MVC) interfaces, a report generation system, automated internationalization, and much more.

There are lots of models that can be downloaded as ready-made add-ons. At the moment there are some 500, varying from contact information to manufacturing systems. An add-on contains the model in a python file, a metadata file for registering with OpenObject and for instance definitions for menu items.

OpenObject framework is capable of auto-generating views, providing view editor in gtk and web interface, creating reports and creating UML diagrams.
