Oued Namous (in Arabic: واد الناموس, oued means stream of water in Arabic , namous means mosquito in Berber and in Arabic). This river crosses the atlas chain by successively bearing the names of Oued Sfissifa, Oued El Breidj (on Aïn Sefra), Oued Rouïba, Oued Namous. It drains all the region of Ain sefra. Upstream, from Aïn Hadjadj, it receives on the left side Oued Tiout. South of Moghrar Tahtani, it receives on the right side Oued Moghrar. Arriving at Sahara, it crosses the Continental Tertiary, then gets lost under the Grand Erg Occidental.
