PIR Center (formerly Center for Policy Studies; Russian: ПИР-Центр) is a Russian think-tank and non-governmental organization specialized in international security, based in Moscow, Russia. The primary focus of PIR Center's research is on nuclear non-proliferation (arms control, national nuclear programs, Russian-American and Russian-Chinese dialogue on global security), issues of global and regional security and its impact on Russian foreign policy, cybersecurity issues. PIR Center enjoys consultative status with the ECOSOC.[1] (2010), is a member of the OSCE-Network.[2] PIR Center publishes "Security Index" Occasional Paper Series (former "Security Index" journal (1994–2016), indexed by Taylor & Francis[3] group up to 2015) analytical reports and articles, annually arranges International Summer School on Global Security[4], since 2016 develops the Dual Degree Master Program in Nonproliferation Studies[5][6] (in partnership with Middlebury Institute of International Studies and MGIMO University).[citation needed]

The Director of PIR Center is Dr. Vladimir A. Orlov (MGIMO University professor, UN consultant on disarmament and nonproliferation education (2001–2002), member of the UN Secretary General's Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters (2015–2018)).[citation needed]
