Paavo Vaatainen

Paavo Vaatainen was born June 9th 1994 in Helsinki Finland. Paavo took notice in basketball when he was selected to attend the Helsinki Youth Basketball Academy at 14. He would also play in the Finish Junior Basketball Championship that same year. Due to his exposure at the Academy, he would also attend the Junior Championship at 15 and 16 years old. He would play for finlands U-18 Basketball team at 17. After he graduated he moved to Arizona as an international student. He would play for Pinnacle High Schools Senior team and would be offered a spot on the Arizona Wildcats. His first season he would average 22 pts per game, 3 rebounds and 0.82 steals per game. He was drafted in the second round (44th overall) by the Minnesota Timber wolves. He would be unsigned by Minnesota and would later sign with Brooklyn. He is depicted as 6'5", athletic at the rim and a great 3 point shooter.
