Parvesh Bhainswal (Born 12 April 1997) is an Indian kabaddi players who currently represents the Gujarat Fortunegiants in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi league. While he usually plays at Left Cover, Bhainswal has occasionally played in the Left Corner position as well.[1]
Early life[edit]
Bhainswal was born in Bhainswal, Sonipat in Haryana and took interest in kabaddi from a tender age. He excelled in the local U14 tournaments, before dominating in the University Nationals. Owing to his brilliant performances, Sports Authority of India coach Jaivir Sharma drafted him at SAI, Gandhinagar where he trained for three years. Gujarat Fortunegiants’ skipper Sunil Kumar is Bhainswal’s cousin.[1]

Season 4[edit]
Bhainswal was picked up by the Gujarat Fortunegiants in the Season 5 auction and made his debut for the team against Dabang Delhi K.C. He finished the game with a tackle point. He featured in all of Gujarat Fortunegiants’ 24 matches and contributed 48 tackle points. His first notable performance came against Bengaluru Bulls where he scored four tackle points with a 100% tackle strike rate. He scored his first career High 5 against U Mumba in the Fortunegiants’ 39-28 victory in Ranchi. He finished the campaign with two High 5s.[3]

Bhainswal scored 15 tackle points in the Fortunegiants’ first five matches of Season 6 and continued in the same vein for the rest of the campaign. He scored his first High 5 of the season against Dabang Delhi K.C. in Greater Noida in the Fortunegiants’ 45-38 victory[5]. He finished the campaign with 86 tackle points, including four High 5s in 25 matches at a tackle strike rate of 62.31. His tally of 86 was bettered only by Nitesh Kumar’s 100 tackle points.[6]
