PatentBot is a Facebook chatbot that helps to register a trademark. With the help of the PatentBot, users can check to see whether the name of their desired trademark is available, register it, and get professional legal advice. For now, PatentBot operates in Ukraine and in the US.
History[edit]
PatentBot was launched in July 2017. In October of 2017, PatentBot was recognized as one of the Best Legal Innovations of 2017 by The Hague Institute of Innovation in Law.[2]
In January 2018, PatentBot took first place in the nomination of the Bot of the Year, an annual award organized by Product Hunt as part of the Golden Kitty Awards.[3]
Services[edit]
The user performs the entire registration process in Facebook Messenger. The customer only needs to answer a few questions via a form and pay the official and legal fees directly in messenger. The standard procedure of TM registration in the US takes 8-12 months and costs $99, excluding official fees. In Ukraine, the standard procedure of TM registration takes 16-18 months, and costs 499 UAH, excluding official fees.
In 2018 PatentBot is planning to add domain and logo trademark registration, and to be available for customers from the EU and China.
