Patrick Yosia Kibumba (born February 3, 1996) is a Ugandan basketball player who played for Poltava Basketball Club of the League of Heroes, Ukraine. Standing at 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m), he plays at the shooting guard position. Yosia, nicknamed Pato won the Kobelyaky slam dunkcontest, Ukraine and later led the Poltava National Technical University to the state championship (2017). He's commonly known for his dunks and rebounds.

In 2014, Yosia joined International School Uganda where he won the Victoria University Uganda International Schools tournament. He later attended to Poltava National Technical University where they emerged champions in the state university games Ukraine.

Career[edit | edit source]

In 2016, Yosia joined Poltava Basketball Club [1] where he played as the smallfoward/ powerforward [2] . Because of his rebounding skills, it earned him some play time. He later featured on the play of the week when he dunked on a Desperate Guys Basketball Club player. He was also selected as an all star; where he's team (new school) lost to (old school). He later attended a 3*3 Kobelyaky tournament where his team (Francis) came 3rd and he won the slam dunk contest. Later on, his team came 4th in the league after playoffs.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Yosia was born in the slum of Makerere. His parents later moved to an urban neighborhood Kasubi hill where he joined [http:/mengo.sirapollokaggwaschools.com/Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School], Mengo, Uganda.

In 2009, he was educated at King's College Budo where he participated in Music Dance and Drama. He specialized more in acting but later developed an interest in dancing. During holidays, he went to Youth Centre, Nsambya where he improved his Bboy skills winning local street battles, school competitions and participated in national cyphers at Uganda National Cultural Centre.

In 2013, Coach Okias Stephen taught him basic post moves which he used as a powerforwardthroughtout his secondary school life in Uganda. He won alot of competitions which got him scholarships and fame. In 2016, he moved to Europe for further education and pursue his career.
