Patrizia Gucci

Patrizia Gucci, born 1959, represents the fourth generation of the Florentine Gucci family. She is the great granddaughter of Guccio Gucci, founder of the The Fashion House of Gucci. Patrizia Gucci is a painter, writer and a fashion designer.[1]

Career[edit]

Patrizia Gucci began her career in the early 80th, working as the International Public Relations representative for the Gucci family business, and later also worked as a designer for the company. She opened 13 Gucci shops worldwide to represent the family and organized conferences to promote the image of the Gucci name in the world. She worked within the family business for 12 years.[1]

In 1994 she started to work as an independent designer, designing a collection of leather furniture. She soon began to design her own brand of fashion accessories, Patti Patti, launched initially in Japan.[1] This was quickly followed by a line of equestrian clothing for an American company, and a variety of lines for several European fashion companies, including articles for home decoration. Patrizia Gucci also began to dedicate herself to painting and she had her first exhibition in Bahrain, her second in Florence at Palazzo Antinori, then in Vienna 2004, Budapest 2009, followed by many other exhibitions.[2]

Patrizia Gucci is also the author of four books, ”Il piccolo libra della semplicitá”, ”Single”, ”Il fashion della donna libera” and ”Charme”, all four translated and distributed in several languages.[1]

Awards[edit]

She has been awarded the ”Arts Laudabilis” prize in Budapest, by the Europa Autentical Cultural Organization”.[2]
