Pearl of Africa Environment (PAE) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) affiliated with environmental conservation, natural resources, environmental policies, climate change, tourism, agriculture, gender inequality and education in the African continent since 2010. The NGO has worked with the army of Uganda, Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), Kampala City Council Authority FC 2015-16 (KCCA), Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Ministry of Water and Environment (Uganda) and Sewage and Water Corporation Company (SWCC).

History[edit]

The name Pearl of Africa was formulated to Uganda by Henry Morton Stanley during his visit between 1884 and 1877, also known as Henry Morton Stanley's first trans-Africa exploration. Uganda was affirmed as the 'Pearl of Africa,' subsequent to Winston Churchill's visit, which he wrote about in his 1908 book, My African Journey.
