Peshawar Model Degree Colleges(Urdu:پشاور ماڈل ڈگری کالجز ), often pronounced as PMDC(Urdu:پی ایم دی سی), are a number of higher education institutions in Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi and Haripur cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. These Colleges, affiliated with the City University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar have students in sciences, arts and humanities, business administration, and computer sciences.[2]

These colleges' undergraduate and graduate degree programs lead to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCompSc), and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees awarded through the City University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar .[3]

History and progress[edit]

Founded in 1979. Initially, a primary school was established by Muhammad Zahoor Sethi (Founder), comprising just one moderate campus with 300 students. But, later it resulted in the establishment of twenty separate school campuses, six degree college campuses for boys and five degree college campuses for girls, with a combined strength of over 35,000 students.[4]

PMDC Boys I[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Boys It was formed in 1997. It is located on Dalazak Road, Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was the first college.[5]

PMDC Girls[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Girls was formed in 2002. It is also located alongside PMDC Boys I on Dalazak Road, Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was overall second college and the first college for girls.[6][7]

PMDC Boys II[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Boys II was formed in 2008. It is located on Kohat Road, Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was third college overall and second college for boys.[8]

PMDC Boys and Girls (Mardan Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College for boys and girls (Mardan Campus) was formed in 2011. It is located on Nisatta Road, Mardan, city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. These are fourth and fifth colleges overall, third college for boys, and second college for girls.[9]

PMDC Boys (Hayatabad Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Boys (Hayatabad Campus) was formed in 2014 in Hayatabad Phase-4, Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was sixth college overall and fourth college for boys.[10]

PMDC Girls (Hayatabad Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Girls (Hayatabad Campus) was formed in 2019 in Hayatabad Phase-3 Chowk, Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was eleventh college overall and fifth college for girls.

PMDC Boys (Swabi Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Boys (Swabi Campus) was formed in 2017 at Jehangira Road Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was seventh college overall and fifth college for boys.

PMDC Girls (Swabi Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Girls (Swabi Campus) was formed in 2018 at Panjpir Laar, Jehangira Road Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. It was eighth college overall and third college for girls.

PMDC Boys and Girls (Haripur Campus)[edit]

Peshawar Model Degree College Boys & Girls (Haripur Campus) was formed in 2018 in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. These were the ninth and tenth colleges overall, sixth college for boys and fourth college for girls.
