From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

HRH, Alh. Mohammed Seyoji Ahmed, son of the late Sarkin Pindiga Ahmadu Shuaibu Ibrahim and Princess Hajia Aishatu Isa Bodewa, daughter of the village head of Kombani Isa, was born on 15th August, 1956 at Pindiga. He attended the Pindiga Central Primary School (1963 – 1969) and proceeded to Sheikh Sabbah College now Sardauna Memorial College, Kaduna (1970 – 1974) for his National Certificate in Education (NCE). It was after the completion of his NCE that he joined the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) where he served in the defunct Ondo state at Ise-Emure Ekiti Grammer School (1977 – 1978). On return to the then newly created Bauchi state, he was employed and sent to serve at Government Secondary School Nafada as a staff. And later when a special programme was created for teachers to further their education, His Royal Highness amongst others was sent to Ohio State (Columbus) USA where he studied Geology and Environmental Education. On his return in 1983 he served briefly at Women Teachers College Azare in Bauchi state. He was appointed as a Principal of Junior Secondary School Wade in the present Yamaltu Deba LGA of Gombe state, a newly established Secondary School then. Simultaneously with the takeoff of the school, he got admission into Bayero University Kano for his MSc in Land Resources. As destiny will have it, the arrival of the admission letter coincided with the death of his father, Alh. Ahmadu Shuaibu Sarkin Pindiga on 10th April, 1984. Alh. Muhammadu Seyoji Ahmed had to shelve his ambition to further his education and faced the struggle for the survival of his family which culminated into his appointment as Sarkin Pindiga, District Head of Pindiga on 10th August, 1984. As a traditional leader of the community, he led his community wonderfully and which eventually recorded significant turning point up to the year 2000 when Pindiga became an emirate. His coronation as a second class emir took place on 14th July 2001, an event that witnessed a mammoth crowd of eminent citizens both from within and outside Gombe state. Under his tenure as an emir, Pindiga community has witnessed positive movement to economic prosperity. The emirate has also been able to witnessed remarkable peace and tranquility, the twin developments that till date stands the community out as one of the best in Gombe state. In an event such as this, one will not overlook an accident of history that occurred when barely after three years as an emirate, the community was thrown into confusion and disarray with the sudden deposition of His Royal Highness along with two other emirs in Gombe state. The deposition letter which could not give any special or genuine reason for the action other than the law which vested on the Governor the powers to appoint and depose any traditional ruler. Alh. Muhammadu Seyoji Ahmed was deposed on May 12, 2004 and subsequently exiled to Tula in the present Kaltungo Local Government Area. It was from Tula that the deposed emir continued to shuttle to and from Gombe until the intervention of the late emir of Gombe, Alh. Shehu Usman Abubakar (of blessed memory) who prevailed on the then state Government to allow for the transfer of Alh. Muhammadu Seyoji back to Gombe. For almost ten years he stayed very close to the emir of Gombe until 12th August, 2012 when Allah in his infinite mercy made it possible for his return as a newly appointed Emir of Pindiga. Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen and respected sons and daughters of Pindiga, such a unique feat couldn’t have been achieved were it not for the magnanimity and high level of intelligence shown by His Excellency Alh. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, OON, Talban Gombe, Matawallen Pindiga and his administration. The news that heralded the return of Sarki Seyoji in Pindiga and in most parts of Gombe state was received with joy. Within the twinkle of an eye, it became a celebration galore in Pindiga. This we believe must have been successfully achieved in the spirit of Governor Dankwambo’s pursuit of Justice, Equity and Fairness. With almost five years into his return, the emirate is still relatively peaceful and developing very fast in comparison with the period of his absence. It is worthy of note to mention that it was during his time as an Emir and as well a Geologist that the famous Maiganga Coal Mine was discovered, feasibility studies carried out and large deposits realized in commercial quantity. Today, Maiganga Coal is a reality and tons of this fuel is largely responsible for the operations of Ashaka Cement Company. In addition, Tai, Gaundere and Yelwa coal mines all in Pindiga emirate are awaiting for investors to exploit for the benefit of Gombe state and Nigeria in general. Presently, Pindiga emirate that has developed tradition from a district level, has 16 Districts and 63 Village head areas. When viewed from the angle of Oil and Gas exploration and discovery in Pindiga area, God’s willing, Gombe state will be among the first northern states to join the league of Oil producing states in Nigeria. His Royal Highness has served on many Boards and Parastatals of government in addition to his membership of the Gombe state Council of Emirs and Chiefs. He served on the Board of Arewa Ceramic Industry, Misau in Bauchi state and also the Governing Council of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. As an agent of Peace, His Royal Highness has developed special contingent of cultural dancers and a cavalry or mounted troop that has not only become a point of reference but as a medium for cross cultural exchange in the promotion of peace and harmony amongst our people of diverse religions and ethnicity. At one time, the mounted troops have performed in Demsa, Adamawa state; Langtang and Wase in Plateau state; Wukari in Taraba state and immediate neighbourhood of Futuk in Bauchi state in the 80’s and 90’s. Those visits have no doubt enhanced peace and unity in our sub-region. It is our hope that with his new status as a FIRST CLASS Emir (when confirmed), Alh. Muhammadu Seyoji will initiate more ways of promoting peace, unity and brotherhood not only in Gombe state but in the entire North-East sub-region. His Royal Highness is married with children.
