Plaksha University[1] is an upcoming private university that aims to -provide technology education in the fields of computing science & artificial intelligence, robotics & cyber-physical systems, biological systems engineering and data science & economics.

Located in Mohali, Punjab, it is a collective philanthropic initiative of over 80 business leaders[2], tech entrepreneurs and academicians.

Campus[edit]

The 50 acre state-of-the-art campus is located in Mohali and is a 10 minute drive from the Chandigarh International Airport. The campus has been designed by New York based architecture firm, Plan A. Academic buildings include an innovation centre, research labs, library and makerspace with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Student residential complexes include hostels, study lounges, a dining hall and sports complex.

Courses[edit]

Plaksha Tech Leaders Fellowship (TLF)[edit]

It is a one year, on-campus, postgraduate program[3]. The program consists of 8 terms of 6 weeks each. The first cohort joined in Aug 2019 and graduated in July 2020. Classes are held at the Plaksha Innovation Center in Gurugram.

Young Tech Scholars (YTS)[edit]

YTS is a 2 week summer program for 9th to 11th grade students, offered by Reimagining Higher Education Foundation the founding body of Plaksha University. Students learn to use technology to solve complex real life challenges. It is designed by senior faculty from leading universities and institutions including Stanford, HBS, UC Berkeley, IITs, and the IIMs.

Undergraduate program[edit]

Plaksha will offer four  Bachelor of Technology degrees focusing on interdisciplinary engineering concentrations. Courses will commence in fall 2021 at the Mohali campus.
