Planitz

Planitz is a former city in Saxony. On 1 January 1944 Planitz was incorporated into Zwickau, causing Zwickau to achive the status of a large town. By it's coal mines and the football Club Planitzer SC Planitz achieved fame throuhgout Germany. Today there exist three districts in Planitz, namely Lower Planitz, Upper Planitz and New Planitz.[1]
