PowerToolz (https://powertoolz.com.au) is a software tool created by jeylabs (https://www.jeylabs.com). It was designed to work with K2 (http://www.k2.com).

jeylabs is a K2 Technology Partner(https://www.k2.com/partners/find-a-partner#!/Technology/) based in Australia. K2 is a business applications provider with over 5000 enterprise customers using it globally. In 2012, K2 had more than 3,500 customers and over 250 employees (https://www.k2.com/about-k2/story)

PowerToolz is a Test Automation tool purpose built for Low Code Business Application Platforms. It helps K2 users learn more about their K2 server applications, manage them, troubleshoot issues, migrate artefacts t another environment, setup regression test suites and monitor their utility.

PowerToolz packs a number of tools and features in a nice scriptable environment that encourages reuse and sharing.

PowerToolz was the first commercial automation tool released for K2 users. It provided for a major need required by the K2 users - Test automation and Regression testing.

The tool can be installed on a computer having access to K2 Database and K2 server. The install user should have Administrator permissions to the K2 Server and Read permission on K2 Database. PowerToolz is currently compatible with Windows 7/8/8.1 Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 SP1 and 2012 R2 systems. .Net Framework 4.5.2 or later is required on the computer where user wants to install PowerToolz. K2 client components is required on the computer where user wants to install PowerToolz. Visual Studio AddIns support for VS2010, VS2012 and VS2013 and it also need .NET framework 4.5.2 or later. The current version of PowerToolz is 5.1 and provides support for K2 Five (5.1), K2 Five, K2 BlackPearl 4.6.10, 4.6.11 and 4.7 onwards.

In Nov 2017, K2 Five and K2 Cloud were released. This release created a problem for existing enterprise customers as their current critical business process definitions cannot be edited or maintained with these newer version of tools. By working closely withK2, jeylabs immediately brought a version called PowerToolz Express (https://www.jeylabs.com/pte) to market. This tool solves the need for K2 customers to convert their workflow definitions to the latest K2 Five format.

Since 2016, jeylabs receives Aus Industry funding for the R&D of this tool and the export market development activities it takes globally. jeylabs established entities in California and Singapore in 2018 to support its customers locally.
