Powermatic

Powermatic is a brand name aimed towards power protection which is owned and run by Micro Automation Industries. Powermatic extensions, adapters and wall sockets monitor power quality and turn the power off to the connected electronics and home appliances if power disturbance is detected. This protects the connected appliances from damage.[1]

Other products under Powermatic include solutions for air conditioners and motors. Embedded and Industrial products are also manufactured by the company at their manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Micro Automation Industries also does hardware design and manufacture electronic control systems and Internet of Things (IoT) enabled devices.[2]

The company has developed the world’s first real-time industrial workforce performance monitoring and motivational system - Datamatic.[3]

Micro Automation Industries was set up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2002 and has been manufacturing Powermatic products since. The company was founded by Hazim Al Hajjaj and he is the CEO of the company. Started off in Basrah, Iraq in 1977, the company now has offices in Baghdad, Iraq and Leuven, Belgium with its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.[4]
