About the art

Gifted with a sweet and sonorous voice seasoned by years of practice. His KHAYALS are marked by a systematic exposition of the ragas structure, decorated with imaginative phrasing and aesthetic appeal. He has a large repertoire of both popular and rarely heard ragas and he presents them with great mastery during his concerts. A mature artist with his unique style, combining the elements of Kirana and Gwaliar gharana. Equally at home with semi-classical modes like Thumri, Bhajan and Natyasangeet.

As a composer

Composed and sang numerous songs like Bhavgeet, Bhaktigeet (Hindi/Marathi) by own, through Akashwani and Doordarshan, Mumbai. His famous audio cassettes with his own compositions titled 'Ram Roopi Rangale', 'Jan Chala Shiradees Jaau', and 'Abhangagaathaa', 'Nitya Aarti' released by renowned music companies namely Magna Sound India Ltd., BMG Crescendo Ind., and Krunal cassette. His programme 'Geet Geetamrut' based on Bhagwad–Geeta has been presented at number of places. The same is also presented on Doordarshan's Sahyadri channel with twenty episodes.

As a successful performer, teacher & administrator

Conceived a musical programme 'Saad Nisarga' for children, based on poems related to the nature and its awareness. This programme includes new compositions as well as popular Marathi movie songs, Bhaktigeet, Bhavgeet, Natyasangeet and folk, which exhibit various expressions of the nature in different seasons. The exceptional feature of 'Saad Nisarga' is that the singers and participants are children within the age group of 8 to 16 years.

Conceptualized a Unique musical programme 'Saad Vidhatya' decorated with combination of Bhaktigeet, Abhanga, Gaulan, Nandi, Bhavgeet etc. The lyrics penned by renowned poets included in this programme, are composed by himself in various ragas and taalas.

Recently engaged in a new project 'Adhyayan', a series of CDs, useful and informative to the students of Indian classical music according to the syllabus of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He presents the concerned ragas in his melodious voice. This is definitely an exciting and totally different thought in the classical music.

Runs a music school called Swarasadhana Vidyalaya at Dahisar, Mumbai, since 1991 and also guides the students for Classical, Semi-Classical and Light Music.

Promoter of 'Sangeetanjali', a famous institution active in the field of music giving frequent uncommon projects for the development of talented musicians as well as upcoming artistes.
