Preciosa is a 1965 drama-musical-romance Mexican film directed by Juan José Ortega (as Juan J. Ortega). It was released in Mexico on 26 August 1965.
Plot[edit]
A vicious composer tries to win the heart of a successful nightclub singer who makes one of his songs famous. The result is romance, drama, music with some comedy thrown in as she juggles the difficulties in her love life.[1]

Preciosa was directed and produced by Juan José Ortega. Rosalío Solano served as cinematographer, with Rafael Ceballos as film editor and Sergio Guerrero as musical director. The screenplay was written by Edmundo Báez and Juan José Ortega. The original musical score was composed by Georges Granier. The production designer was Francisco Marco Chillet, costumes were by Bertha Mendoza López, and choreography was by Tito LeDuc.[2]
