Premachandra Sagar (born 2 December 1960) is an Indian multi-billionaire entrepreneur from Bangalore. He is the Founder and Vice Chairman of Sagar Group, Vice Chairman of the Dayananda Sagar Insitutions. He has played a key role in identifying opportunities in the healthcare sector also and worked closely with the Chairman to start a major initiative for the Group to start hospitals in the State. Due to his efforts, Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) is today a centre of excellence. The Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is now the largest engineering college in India offering all major programs. All other colleges in the group have also grown to become centre`s of excellence. Dr Sagar served on the Senate of Bangalore University,Karnataka from 1990 to 1995. Dr Sagar is a voracious reader, widely traveled, very business like and takes decisions with great speed. A good orator, he is comfortable in speaking to any audience. Dr. D. Premachandra Sagar is the son of Barrister R. Dayananda Sagar & Dr. Chandramma.
