Prima is an American CBD company founded in 2018 by Christopher Gavigan, Jessica Assaf, and Laurel Angelica Myers headquartered in Santa Monica, California and listed as a privately held Public Benefit Corporation (PBC).[1]

History[edit]

Founded in August of 2018, Prima raised a seed round of $3.3 million from ventures Lerer Hippeau and Greycroft six months later.[1][2]

In 2020, the company partnered with Sephora joining other CBD beauty brands for sale at nearly 300 Sephora stores nationwide.[3][4] Prima also earned the EWG Verification[5] and B Corp Certification.[6][7]
