ProtoPie is a software to create high-fidelity prototypes for mobile, desktop, automotive and IoT devices.

Founded in 2014 by the former Google Designer Tony Kim, a former Samsung Software Engineer Scotty Kim and a former Naver Software Engineer John Song [1] [2], ProtoPie has acquired popularity amongst UI and UX designers by being one of the most advanced ways to prototype without code knowledge.

The ProtoPie concept model that can be broken down in 3 steps: Object, Trigger and Response[3]. This approach enables a wide range of combinations to occur. Users can select an Object, add a Trigger, and then define the desired Response, resulting in multiple possible combinations from these elements. Amongst these Triggers, some of the most popular ones are Voice Command, Chain, 3D Touch, Drag, and Pull. [4]

In 2022, ProtoPie was voted as most popular Advanced Prototyping Tool by the UX Tools 2022 Design Tools Survey.[5]
