Purgatory (webcomic)

Purgatory is a webcomic writen and Ilustrated by Holly Brown, called after the Purgatory A place in Catholic mithology were souls go to earn Heaven . This story is about "a religious cult and Simon, trying to escape it" (Sumary in the Tapas paje writen by The creator herself). This series is made almost completely by hand. It contains hints to Power Abuse, Homosexuality ( and how it's [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality_and_religion prohivited by his religion.

Story

Simon is the son of the priest of the "Catholic" church which is in a Dark Age-ish control over the town.

Characters

Simon

Main character who is in a relationship with Damian which is to mantain a secret because the religion is harsh about that theme (Not unlike some religions in real life) he is smart and tries to end the work his mother begun. (15 years old)

Damian

He is Simon's boyfriend which is more of a rebel but has a big heart. (15 years old)

Mr.Tartakovsky

Serivng as then main antagonist, he has the power to move the church around by selecting them for the Solstice. He is said to cause Simon's mother's death and abuses his power to rape simon. [Please Add if nessesary]

Religion

The religion portraded by this series is (in the creators words)"Catholicism if Jesus hadn't been crusified". Which means no one has died for their sins. So they give a sacrifice every season called the "Summer Solstice" were they hang a voted member of the seminar.
