Quanyan Zhu is a control and game theorist who is Associate Professor at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Zhu is known for his research developing game and control theory for cybersecurity to secure cyber-physical systems and Internet of Things.

Quanyan Zhu received a B.Eng. in Honors Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in 2006, and Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Toronto in 2008, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 2013.
Academic life[edit]
After stints at Princeton University, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Tandon School of Engineering at New York University in 2014. He is the founding TC chair on Security and Privacy of IEEE Control System Society. [1]
Research areas[edit]
His research interests include Optimal control; Dynamic games; Cybersecurity; Control of networks; Cyber deception; Cyber-physical systems; and Resilient control.[2]
