Quarter is an Indian Short film directed by Navjyot Bandiwadekar and produced Navigns Studio. Bollywood actress Girija Oak Godbole plays the lead role and makes her Short film Debut.[1] The film was premiered at 71st Cannes film Festival - Court Métrage Short Film Corner and was later showcased at more than 12 different International Film festivals, winning numerous accolades. The film was digitally released worldwide on 10th April 2020.

Plot[edit]

Ashwini a young middle-aged Indian woman comes home after being declared as an addict in the midst of Diwali celebrations, where Diwali is touted as celebration of triumph of good over evil. What is this addiction? Does she cope with it? The story unfolds to see if Ashwini is able to conquer her evil or if she falls prey to it.

Trailer launch[edit]

On 10 March 2018, the poster and the trailer of the film Quarter was launched in a grand event attended in the presence of many the Indian media and prominent film industry people.[2] Quarter was the first short film in India to launch a poster and trailer in such a grand level, something which is only done for the feature films in the Indian Film industry.[3]

Technical details[edit]

The format is digital. Running time is 15.00 minutes. The film was shot on Alexa XT camera. The Digital Intermediate of the film was done in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The music was mastered by Bohemi Junction Limited, UK ( Abbys Road mastering)
