Quota - The Reservation is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language Social Drama film written and directed by Sanjiv Jaiswal in association with Rudraksh Moviez presented by Baba Play[1][2]. It is produced by Nitin Mishra and Anil Jaiswal[3]. The film's music and background is composed by Prini Siddhant Madhav and lyrics by Shiv Sagar Singh[4]. It stars Aniruddh Dave, Aditya Om, Garima Kapoor, Rajiev Dinkar. The film is intended to serve as the reality check of Casteism bias scenario in Indian Educational System.

Plot[edit]

Quota - The Reservation is based on real incidents. It depicts about Dalit Students who have lost their lives facing the prejudice and harassment due to Casteism like Rohit Vemula from Hyderabad, Payal Tadvi from Mumbai, Balmukund Bharti from New Delhi and many more. It overviews the perception towards Reservation System in India by Upper Caste students who feel that Dalit students are undeserving and only get admission in prestigious colleges just on the basis of Caste Reservation provided to them. Saurabh Rawat a first year Dalit Medical Student encounters Caste discrimination by an Upper Caste Student Pankaj Shukla, Saurabh opposes this incident but Pankaj abuses him physically. Saurabh tries to complaint to the College complaint redressal committee but they deny to accept any incident linking to Caste discrimination and takes no action. Simultaneously, a professor tries to make him feel further miserable by deliberately failing him in his course of 1st year. Saurabh accompanied by his friends knocks the doors of many sources to get his answer-sheet rechecked, Unable to get any help Saurabh decides to do something big and his action creates a huge revolution among the Dalit students across the nation. Finally he gets justice, providing a strong message to the society.

Principal Photography[edit]

Principal photography began in Lucknow in 2020 Post Corona Pandemic and the film is scheduled for release in 2022[5]. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali and Gujarati languages.
