Rádio Yandê
Rádio Yandê is an online radio station based in Rio de Janeiro that aims to promote Brazil’s indigenous languages and communities.[1] Created in 2013 by a group consisting of members of Tupinambá and Baniwa ethnicities working in the fields of communication and art, it provides media for indigenous peoples from various regions of Brazil to discuss issues concerning their cultures and Brazil's indigenous society at large.[2] By doing this it also intends to create awareness of Brazil's over 150 languages speaking population and dissolve stereotypes and misconceptions of it that emerge in mainstream media.[1]
