Rafael Nani
A multi-award winning Producer and Film Director, Rafael Nani is graduated, post-graduated and holds two Master's degrees in Cinema. Since 1999, he has worked on the realization of several films, music videos and TV commercials.
Rafael Nani, a.k.a. RafaNani, was born in Brazil in1980. In 2002, he graduated with a degree in Cinema, and started his career as a Producer and Film Director. His first accomplishment was the short film “Hoje” (2009), which is about a man who doesn’t lose his chance changing his life in one day.
After that, RafaNani had many successes in his cinematographic realizations. Highlights include the short film, "Rose Garden" (2016), starring by Evan O’Toole as Felix. Evan plays a smart little kid who knows he's going to die soon, but the way he faces his destiny changes everyone around him. RafaNani wrote, produced and directed "Rose Garden”. The film was officially featured in 48 film festivals around the world, winning more than 20 awards, making his career internationally recognized.
Another hit also produced and directed by RafaNani is "The Regret of the Doubt" (2013). It was selected for showing in 17 film festivals and won 5 awards around the world. Among others, he also produced and directed “Liisi” (2014), “Deep Pool” (2012), “Contagio” (2011), and "Don't Call me Later" (2012).
At the moment, RafaNani is working on the post-production of his feature film "Bloody Eyes”, a Sci-Fi/Horror movie about 4 detectives who find themselves locked in an undercover lab. A place of bizarre experiments, they find out they are not the only creatures that will do whatever it takes to escape from there and make it out alive. Another project in progress is his next feature film, "Finding my Son”. Currently in the Development stage, it’s coming into production in a few months.
In addition to his work on films, RafaNani is also extremely active in TV Production and TV Direction. He produced and directed the TV Show, “HQ & CIA”(2008-2009), which is about comics, cinema and TV universes, and which aired in 42 episodes over two years. Following this success, he also produced and directed “Game Play”(2009), a TV show about the world of video games. It was also aired for 2 seasons.
Besides that, RafaNani is also an experienced Producer and Director in the Advertising/Marketing field. He has produced films for various important agencies and clients, such as Pepsi, Volkswagen, Nestlé, Ambev, Sebrae, Locaweb, Grupo Abril, and Ponto Frio, among others. A highlight is the McDonald's advertisement, “Free Refill” (2018), which he directed and Tyler James Williams starred in. The advertisement was watched by more than 3 million people in less than 4 days.
