Rahil Chaudhary is (born 14 June 1990) an Indian ophthalmologist and director of Eye7 Chaudhary Eye Centre, a chain of super-specialty eye hospitals based in New Delhi, India.[1] He is a Contoura Vision laser specs removal surgeon and fastest to perform Contoura Vision surgery in India.[3] [4] He recognized as an Indian record holder for maximum laser specs removal surgeries done in India by an individual.[5] In 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 he won the “International Hero in Ophthalmology” award by All India Ophthalmic Society and “Best Surgical Technique” and “John Henahan[6]” prize in European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.[7][8]
Biography[edit]
Rahil Chaudhary did his schooling from the Delhi and went to Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun for MBBS graduation and later joined Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, for internship in PGIMER, New Delhi. He further went on to complete his post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Swami Vivekananda Subharti Medical College, Meerut.
Chaudhary educating new doctors about the power of smart phones and their effective use in medicine.[9] He was the first to introduce a toric axis marking system in Cataract Surgery giving surgeons a highly cost-effective alternative.[10][11] Rahil Chaudhary was the first to start the video telemedicine system in Ophthalmology in India.
