Rama Krishna Mission Hospital or RK Mission is a not for profit hospital in Itanagar. The hospital is credited as "mother of all health institutions" in Arunachal Pradesh for it's early roles when there was no proper health facility in Arunachal Pradesh. To this day it continues to serve the people of Arunachal Pradesh and nearby region of other states. It is one of two leading hospitals in Arunachal Pradesh besides Tomo Riba hospital.

Establishment[edit]

The RK Mission hospital was established in 1979 with the motive to provide free medical facilities to tribals of Arunachal Pradesh.

The hospital has a Nurse training centre.

Facilities[edit]

The Out Patient Department opens in the morning and remains open throughout the day and the pay clinic opens in the evening. The only difference between OPD and pay clinic is consultation fees, charged at pay clinic. The hospital consists of a of 221 beds, 4 well-equipped operation theatres and medical, surgical, gynaecology, paediatric, anaesthesiology, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dental, artificial limb fitting, ultrasonography, CT Scan, ECG, GI endoscopy, blood bank, laboratory, telemedicine and other sections. It also consist of helipad for situations in which patients are required to airlift from or to the hospital.

Administration[edit]

The hospital is run by Secretary who manages all the affairs of the hospital and is addressed as swamiji.
