Plot[edit]

Ambika is an accomplished singer who has learned music methodically for a long time. Sathyaraj is a businessman who is an ardent fan of Ambika, and they have been talking over the phone for the last four to five years. Ambika likes Sathyaraj for the constructive criticism he gives her after every performance.

Once she visits a small town to give a performance. As she is practicing alone she feels as though someone is eavesdropping, but upon checking she finds no one. Later in the night, she hears someone singing the same song that she was practicing with precision. Surprised she goes looking for the person, and finds Ramesh, and his small group of friends (also robbers), drunk. She is awed at Ramesh singing so perfectly under these circumstances, and goes back. The next day she talks to him, and enquires how he knew to sing and who had taught him. When he says that he was merely rambling while drunk, she is shocked at the raw potential in him. She asks him to go along with him , telling him that he has a lot of potential for singing and that she can help him uncover his potential. After coercion from her and his friends for this opportunity and potentially better life he agrees.

Ambika teaches Ramesh, and very soon he is famous and starts giving lot of performances and is very grateful to Ambika for changing his life drastically. He gets a lot women fan following, one of whom is Chithra. Chithra is in love with Ramesh and proposes to him, and they become a couple after her father Jaishankar agrees to his daughters wish to marry Ramesh. Parallelly Sathyaraj, also expresses his love to Ambika and their wedding is fixed as well. One day after attending a party, Sathyaraj under the influence of alcohol, tries to misbehave with Ambika and she stops talking to him for a while.

One fine day Ramesh asks Ambika to marry him, citing reasons that the only reason she took him under her wing to teach him to sing was because she liked him. Ambika gets infuriated , slaps him and sends him out of the house. Upon hearing this Sathyaraj talks to Ramesh separately and he beats him black and blue too. Ambika reconciles with Sathyaraj and their wedding card is printed with Ramesh singing at her wedding reception. Looking at it she is furious again, to which her father says that it was he who was suspicious about their relationship and confronted Ramesh about this. In order to prove Ambika's father wrong, Ramesh asked Ambika to marry him, so her father himself could see how she reacted. She is immediately saddened at her actions. Parallelly Sathyaraj is angry and hires an assassin to shoot Ramesh at his next concert, and Jaishankar hires an assassin as well as he is angry at Ramesh for breaking Chithra's heart.

When Ambika's parents explain the situation to Sathyaraj and Chitha to her dad, both of them rush to the concert hall to stop the assassin from killing Ramesh. After some drama, Jaishankar is able to successfully save Ramesh's life and the two couples unite.
