Rateology is a personal finance website (stylized as "rateology") that guides people through personal financial decision making by comparing financial services from a variety of providers.

History

Rateology was founded in 2018 in College Station, Texas with the goal to help young people make informed financial decisions.

Services  

Rateology's main feature are their intelligent service finders. These free tools allow users to receive a personalized list of recommended financial services by entering in information such as their credit score range and location. This tool connects each user with a list of providers and services that suits their personal financial situation.

Rateology also has a variety of payment calculators that allow users to quickly work a payment into their monthly budget.

The website also has a resource center where articles regarding smart financial decision making are posted regularly. Rateology hosts a team of content writers that discuss topics such as personal loans, auto loans, and broad financial decision making.

Doak Dunkin

Doak Dunkin founded rateology in 2018. He is dedicated to connecting people with personal financial services. Mr. Dunkin also currently serves as President of Dunkin & Associates, which provides commercial, consumer & mortgage lending products/services to banks across the state of Texas.

From September 2010 to March 2014, Mr. Dunkin worked at SWBC in Dallas. At SWBC, he was responsible for forming strategic partnerships, mutually benefiting financial institutions and insurance brokers. Mr. Dunkin also developed commercial programs, offering tools to assist compliance, efficiency, and profitability of businesses. He also assisted over 50 financial institution partners with expansion and implementation of SWBC products, and applied expertise on over 40 products, supporting consumer & commercial lending, mortgages, and investments.

Mr. Dunkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University's Mays Business School.
