Ravi Goutam is a managing director at BlackRock. He is a former Vice President at Goldman Sachs, a position he held from 2002 to 2006. Prior to his position at Goldman Sachs, he held the same position at Deutsche Bank from 1999 to 2001. He owns real estate in a number of US states, but resides year-round in Hillsborough, California.
Early life and education
Goutam was born in Bangalore, India, in 1968. He is the middle child of five brothers. He attended Bangalore University from 1986 to 1990, and earned his BS in Chemical Engineering in 1990. In 1992, he received his MS in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. In 1999, he received his MBA at the Columbia Business School.
