Raw Picture (Band)[edit]
Raw Picture is a progressive rock band from Jefferson, NJ. The band is currently made up of musicians Sean Farrelly, Michael DiStasi, and Lukas Soltysik. The trio embraces the band namesake with the idea that a raw picture is an unprocessed piece of film. It has all of the potential of transformation yet it can still be featured as it is. The group itself has gone through different iterations of members and styles, but always focused on pushing boundaries of musicianship.
Their April 20, 2020 release of the self-titled EP "Raw Picture" featured Sean Farrelly on drums, Lukas Soltysik on guitar, and Micheal DiStasi (Mike D) on bass and vocals.
Musical Style[edit]
Progressive Rock is a good general descriptor of the group, but the diversity of influence on the band can be heard through the band's playing. Over the years, the group has refined its writing style to shorter musical ideas that can be enjoyed by non-musicians and musicians alike. The philosophy of the band is that each new idea must improve the overall musicianship level.

Featuring three songs, this EP is a showcase of the eclectic and hard hitting progressive rock of the group. Pulled together from years of playing music together, each song is a focused musical idea allowing for flow from beginning to end yet each track is a standalone idea. The EP was recording in multiple locations with the guitar, bass, and drums recording in the member's homes. It was produced by Raw Picture. It was mixed by Mike D.
