Reveal is a location-based social and dating application that facilitates communication between interested heterosexual users. Reveal initially only allows females to browse male profiles, meaning they can use the application anonymously before choosing to become visible to the males they are interested in.[1]

Reveal officially launched in December, 2017 on Apple iOS and Android. By May, 2018 it was reported that the application had acquired 4,000 downloads.[2] In June, 2018 Reveal raised seed investment of £54,610 on crowdfunding site Crowdcube[3].
How it works[edit]
Users sign up to Reveal via their Facebook account. Information from the Facebook account such as pictures, current work and education can be used to build a profile on Reveal. Once the user has completed their profile they can begin to use the application. Females are able to browse male profiles anonymously, swiping left if not interested and right if interested. Males must wait until a female reveals her profile to them by swiping right. When this happens the male can view the females' profile and select if he is interested or not by also swiping left or right. If he swipes right it is a match and either user can send the first message to the other.
