Walter Vincent Wright (born September 29, 1983), better known by his stage name Revelation 13:18, is an American record producer and rapper. He is best known for the single "Old School" feat. Jean-Michel Basquiat.[1][2][3][4][5]
Music career[edit]
Wright began producing music under the alias Revelation 13:18, and released his debut EP Now's The Time On January 7, 2014.[6] [7]His instrumental album Beat Bop was released later the same year [6].[7] He released Wave as a posthumous collaboration with J Dilla on March 11, 2014. The track "Wave" was originally on J. Dilla's album Donuts, the last album J Dilla released during his life.[8]
On August 12, 2014, Revelation 13:18 released the single "Old School" featuring Jean-Michel Basquiat, along with the self-titled album Revelation 13:18 x Basquiat. The release date of "Old School" coincided with the anniversary of Basquiat's death.[6][7][9] Wright was noticed by notable BBC 6 Radio DJ Mary Anne Hobbs.[1][10][11]
