Revenge of the Gweilo[edit]
Revenge of the Gweilo is an Australian-American thriller and action film; directed by Nathan Hill. This film's plot based on an ex-cop goes on a rampage after his fiance is killed by the Asian mafia. This film won some prestigious awards from Australia & USA. This movie also available on Amazon, If you want, then you can watch directly on Amazon.
Plot[edit]
Nathan Hill stars as an ex cop who is trying to find a new lease on life. He plays Joseph Lucky, a caucasian man in love with his Asian fiancé Esmay Lee, played by Mary Annegeline. Unfortunately for him she had not paid her debts to her previous employer before they met, a Triad organisation led by the infamous Ishtar, played by Tritia DeViSha. When Esmay is murdered by Ishtar’s Masked Avengers, it leaves Joseph no choice but to use his own personal fighting skills and connections within the force to bring all those at fault to justice. As he delves into a melting pot of chaos, the stakes are raised even higher when he finds himself fighting just to stay alive during his quest for revenge. An all out action thriller being the first movie in the world to have an opening sequence set during Melbourne’s Chinese New Year Festival in the CBD. The movie sports a huge ensemble cast and displays many different styles of martial arts. The climax being the fight between Joseph and the Australian Sumo Wrestling Silver Medalist, Chico Pemberton. Inspired by Hong Kong action films of the 80s and Bruce Lee’s Game of Death. The story serves as somewhat of a platform video game where the hero must conquer each boss and mini boss, stage by stage until he reaches his ultimate revenge and completion of the quest.
