Riley-Rose Harper and Seamus Evans host Hit104.9 The Border's breakfast show Riley-Rose and Seamus in Albury, Australia (Riley-Rose and Seamus). The duo started on air on February 6th, 2017 (Radiotoday) and host the show 6am – 9am, Monday to Friday. The show contains various segments, such as guessing game ‘What’s in Riley’s Mouth?’, call segment ‘Far-Fetched Phoner’, where a call topic is put forward with what seems like no hope of a caller, and ‘Free Air Time Friday’, where the listener is given 10 seconds to say anything they want. The pair have interviewed a number of big names, including Australian artist and Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and the voice of Siri, Karen Jackobson. Riley-Rose and Seamus led the Border’s media survey by retaining 21.4% of the Border’s listeners in 2017 (The Border Mail).

Riley-Rose Harper[edit]

Originally hailing from Corryong, Riley-Rose Harper is the first local breakfast announcer to host the Hit104.9 The Border's breakfast show since Steve Bowen in the late 1990’s (The Border Mail). Riley-Rose began her media career at Southern Cross Austereo’s 2013 Media Careers Bootcamp and has gone from Promotions Assistant to covering the Work Day On Air, finally moving to the breakfast shift. Riley-Rose is currently writing a weekly piece for local paper The Border Mail and has been since early 2018.

Seamus Evans[edit]

Seamus Evans spent a number of years in children’s television, originally hosting Network Ten's Toasted TV from 2009 – 2013, where he interviewed Kermit the Frog, then moving on to Network Ten's Totally Wild in 2014, where he learnt to catch brown snakes. Between that, he also filmed the documentary ‘That First Bounce’ in 2014, a documentary about 'real' or 'royal' tennis (IMDb). Seamus began his radio career as a promotional assistant with Nova 100 in Melbourne, moving to a mid-dawn announcer, with the job lasting for eight months, before landing the breakfast role in Albury. Seamus danced in the Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer in 2018.
