Rizwan Sikander
Rizwan Sikander Gesawat (born 10 July 1987) is an Indian actor best known for his role as contestant in MTV Roadies X2, in which he was a member of Karan Kundra's group. He has also acted in various television serials, including in the role of Arindham in Kayamath, a 2009 TV show of Balaji Telefilms on Star Plus channel.
Sikander has also worked as a model for several brands, and as a director of a travel web-series Compass, and as an executive producer for his sister Shama Sikander’s upcoming web-series called Ab Dil Ki Sun. Both the projects will be releasing in mid of 2018.
Early life[edit]
Rizwan Sikander Gesawat was born in Makrana, Rajasthan, India, and is the son of Gulshan, a housewife and father Sikander Ali Gesawat who was a marble supplier and now practices Ayurveda. At the age of 4 his family moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he lived together with his siblings, Khalid (born 1984), Shama Sikander (born 1981), and Salma (born 1991). He relocated to Mumbai in 1991. Having moved locations frequently, Sikander attended six schools in his early life in Makrana and in various parts of Greater Mumbai including Malad, Mumbra, Thane, and Andheri. Sikander often accompanied his sister Shama Sikander for auditions, meetings, filmy parties & film premier’s. In Mumbai, he was selected to participate in Fear Factor India and flew to Malaysia for the shoot. At the age of 20 he started modelling for several brands in print and commercials. He took part in reality shows, and in television soaps produced by Balaji Telefilms, Dj Creations, Contiloe Pictures, Lostboy Production, and Film Farm. He enrolled in the Roshan Taneja’s School Of Performing Art in Mumbai in 2009 for acting training.
Career[edit]
Sikander appeared in the reality show Fear Factor India (2006) and was a contestant in India’s Zee Cine Stars (2006). He had a cameo role for Jabb Love Hua ( 2007), and played the character ‘Arindham’ in the Star Plus drama Kayamath (2009), also in Gumraah season 2 as Daljeet (a card sharp) for Channel V. He was seen in Vikram Bhatt’s The Haunted Nights for Sahara One. Mumbai director Aakash Shrivastav casted him for an English short film called Post Heist as Jonah Sharp Shooter (2010). In 2011 Sikander hosted an episode of French reality show based on One Day with a Big Family in London.
In 2006 he appeared in Fear Factor India produced by Endemol and directed by Simmi Karna.
He appeared in three episodes of Kayamath show for Star Plus, on television series as a cameo in Jabb Love Hua on Zee TV.
On 18 November 2017 Sikander announced his travel show in Dubai Fitness Expo at The Dubai Mall.
